PIGALLE - MOULIN ROUGE PARIS

    PIGALLE

Although it is possible to be visited by day, and the visit can be interesting, to really appreciate the Pigalle atmosphere is necessary to go at night, this is when the district is really animated. Although we could not be attracted by the amount of establishments that offer erotic and similar shows, the spectacle of lights to the purest style "the fertile valleys" is unforgettable.

Pigalle is in the north of Paris, together with Montmartre, so a good option can be to spend an evening visiting the Sacred Heart of Montmartre, to enjoy the dusk at the top of the hill, to have a supper in Place du Tertre enjoying an unique atmosphere without and afterwards go down and give a stroll until Pigalle, where we can take something in one of its pubs or discos, or - why not to (as thousands of tourists do every year) enter to the famous Moulin Rouge and to enjoy the famous "French Cancan" and a unique spectacle known around the world.

Beside Moulin Rouge, the night visit to the district of Pigalle is almost forced, as after the sunset this zone is even more frequented than Champs Elisees So, when travelling by car or taxi, don’t be surprised being suddenly surrounded by Parisian cars and buses with tourists from four corners of the world.

In the Moulin Rouge the minimum is the key word…
even regarding the clothes
of the dancers.
