Being
the excellence representative work of pure gothic style as well in
France
as around the world, Notre Dame Cathedral is without a doubt the
most known
French
Church
.
Its privileged situation, bordered by the
Seine
and with the gardens around, offers for the visitors a wide view
from all its sides. From any of the bridges or from the gardens
you will get a nice view to the main two towers, from its sides a
good shot to the Gargoyles and from the back you will see the high
towers, sharp as needles, crowning the roof
The construction of Notre-Dame’s Cathedral was carried out
between XII and XIV century (from 1163 to 1345), by Maurice de
Sully’s project.
For
an inexperienced one in art, the interior of the Cathedral will
not be as interesting as the outside, still its worth to enter and
see the central corridor and the altar with its greatness and
immensity.
A
museum with Chapel treasures and its Sacristies can be acceded
from the interior of the church.
